About Christ is God

What is Christ is God?

Christ is God is a blog written by The Apostolic Libertarian on religious, political, social, and cultural issues as relating to both Apostolic(Oneness) Pentecostalism and Libertarianism.

Mission

The Mission of Christ is God is not only to reach the lost with the Gospel but to advocate for socioeconomic and political changes based on Apostolic Libertarian values.

About the Author

The Apostolic Libertarian is a 26 year old American Apostolic by the name of Jaykob Seiler who advocates for Apostolic religious views and Libertarian political reform.

Statement of Faith

There is only One God who is indivisible in both his person and his deity. He is trancendant, eternal, omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. He literally created the world in six days as stated in Genesis. He made man in his image. Man rebelled and his DNA was altered as a result so that death became possible and his descendants became tainted with the influence of his sin so that they too sinned. God, in order to redeem fallen man, became a man, died for our sins, was buried, defeated death, hell, and the grave, and rose on the third day. Those who believe on Jesus may become born again through repentance, baptism(in Jesus’ name), and the baptism of the Holy Ghost however salvation cannot be earned. Baptism isn’t a means of earning salvation but is a necessary exercise of saving faith by obedience to God’s word. Similarly a believer should live a holy life not to earn salvation but because he already has it. And finally the Bible is the infallible innerant word of God however this only applies to the original manuscripts. Of the current translations God preserved his word almost perfectly in the KJV but no translation is unacceptable except for the Watchtower’s fraudulent New World Translation. All other translations should be read with the KJV being used to settle disputes between translations.

Political Views

On economics The Apostolic Libertarian believes in a strong market based currency backed by gold and silver and ending the fed. He also believes in a balanced budget amendment if it either includes a clause caping the income tax rate at 10% or is accompanied by a sperate amendment for that purpose. He also believes in a flat tax, elimination of taxes on corporations, business, and inheritance and a 1% sales tax to replace the FICA tax. Additionally he believes in massive budget cuts, free trade, and free markets.

In regard to immigration The Apostolic Libertarian believes that we can tackle our problems, solve them successfully, and still be compassionate in the process.

In regards to armed conflict The Apostolic Libertarian is a noninterventionist believing in trade and diplomacy rather than war. However he is a “defense hawk” who, while he believes in massive cuts to “war spending”, believes in maintaining a massive defense force.

With regards to the Constitution The Apostolic Libertarian is an Originalist in his interpretation and believes that current methods of interpretation have permitted the government to over reach way too far into the private lives of private citizens as well as permitting too much intervention in state affairs.

As regarding social issues The Apostolic Libertarian is socially tolerant believing in legal weed, legal prostitution, and marriage equality. However he is also pro-life regarding abortion as murder. He opposes social engineering which he sees as taking place in multiple forms in American society from public education to affirmative action.

  1. There are Three in The Godhead or Trinity as we call them today both meaning Three in One, They are The Father, Jesus The Living Word and The Holy Ghost , They are One in Spirit but their roles are different, The Father being in Authority Eternally as confirmed in the Scripture below.

1 John 5: 7 For there are Three that bear record in Heaven, The Father, The Word, and The Holy Ghost and these Three are One.(K.J.V)

1 Corinthians 15:27 -28 For He hath put all things under his feet. But when He saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that He is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him that put all things under him, that God may be All in All. (K.J.V)

    1. “These three are one”. This is numerical oneness. One here can’t be one in unity. A husband and wife are one in unity. However Jesus said ” If you have seen me you have seen the Father”. If you have seen the husband you have not seen the wife. They are one in unity not numerically. However since by seeing Christ you have seen the Father they must be numerically one.
The Son refers to the Incarnation. The Father, God outside of the Incarnation, gave authority to the Son. This is not evidence of multiple divine persons. God’s omnipresence and the Incarnation can be used to explain all such scriptures.
Also the following words never appear in Scripture:
      God the Son
      God the Holy Ghost
      Eternally Begotten Son
      Eternal Son
      Triune
      Trinity
      Coequal
      Coeternal
      Consubstantial

Also there is no “progressive revelation”. That is to say that there is nothing “new” for God to reveal about himself between testaments. That would make God a liar. Rather Christ is a new way of relating to creation. In the beginning God made creation. In Israel God became imminent in his creation. In Christ God became part of his creation. Christ is about relationship with God not revelation about God.
